We left Mission this morning at 9 a.m. It was a beautiful, bright, but chilly morning. We had most everything done last evening including closing up the Texas Room, so didn't have to rush this morning. We did make it over to Pleasant Valley for breakfast. It was quite good and nice that we didn't have dishes to clean up.
We had a full tank of fuel so no need to fuel up today and the ride started out pleasantly. After about 100 miles or so the wind started to pick up and the last 30 miles it was downright blustery. More so than I like it. I told Terry I'm going to look like a crab. . . you know how their one claw enlarges because it does all the work. . . my one arm will get bigger because of the strain on the wheel. Hah.
We got into Victoria, Texas, around 1:15 p.m. We are at the Gateway to the Gulf RV Park, our usual stopping place going to/from the Valley. They told us they are serving ice cream at 6 p.m. so I think we will go. I've already met Nipper, the Jack Russell that lives next door. What a cutie and he LOVES humans. We talked with his owner while Terry was messing with the satellite dishes. All is up and running now. Tomorrow we make the shorter hop into Houston where we will stay for two days while Terry has his checkup at MD Anderson.
Till next time. . .
